Navigating Life with a Dysregulated Nervous System
ALL THE THINGS !!! - ( Pt. 2. So You've Got Cancer. Now What? )
An Ongoing Series About Metamorphosis…….
Hello and welcome to the second segment of “ So You’ve Got Cancer. Now what? ‘. I wish to begin, by making it abundantly clear that this series is NOT only for people with cancer. There is a much larger picture here. It involves biography and biology and how the former becomes the latter. This series is an overview of the arc of my life beginning with now looking backward. In fact it’s not linear at all - just like life and just like the multifaceted process of healing. This autobiographical journey shared with transparency and vulnerability is meant to assist the reader in finding a path which they can follow to lead them from broken to whole, from sick to healthy from dysregulated to regulated, from surviving to thriving.
Viable options of How to Find the Time
The podcast ( by the same name) that accompanies this blog (which will be sent separately) is admittedly quite long. It seems in the future, shorter segments may be in order. Nevertheless life does not happen in 15 minute bite size segments and it is important for me to stay in the flow once I get going. I am figuring this whole thing out as I go and I have no shame in the process. This is an exploration both for myself and for anyone who feels curious and wishes to explore their own life and healing.
If you do not have time to listen to the podcast in one fell swoop, you can always break it up into 15 minute segments. Another option is to listen to it on a long drive, or while cleaning house or any task that avails itself to listening to something while you engage in said task.
The Gold Within
I really feel that there are so many nuggets in these podcasts, and it is my heartfelt desire that the information within will be of benefit. As I mentioned, I certainly have a lot on my plate right now and I only set aside the the time to record these podcasts and write these blogs because I truly believe them to be of great benefit. My wish is that if you dive into this exploration, you will benefit from what you find here. You are not alone in: your trauma, in your patterns, in your desire to heal, in your quest for wholeness, in your feeling of brokenness, in your wish to assist yourself and your ancestors in healing the lineage.
This journey is not solely spiritual, it is not simply biological, it is not merely emotional or psychological. It is a multifaceted journey with many threads that weave together a tapestry . This tapestry has moth holes in it and faded threads, broken threads and missing missing pieces. So what to do? Discard it? Restore it? Use it as a template of what to keep and what to discard? Dismantle, deconstruct and weave something new? Maybe it’s a mix of all of these. Whatever it is, there is no map, no gps, no recipe, no manual, and no directions.
This journey back to wholeness can be very scary and overwhelming. It can also be very empowering. It is a journey of discovery and growth and pushing the envelope of human evolution. You get to decide if you want a front row seat to someone else’s healing process and what you might glean from it. What would tickle my heart, is if it inspired you to roll up your own sleeves and dig into the rich and fecund soil of your own life to grow your own garden of Eden within - a garden that is reflected in your everyday external life.
May all of this find you eager, excited and ready to listen to the podcast by the same name whether it arrives in your mailbox (if you are a subscriber), or on the wings of serendipity. Until next time!
